Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has praised state institutions for their professional response to the false bomb threat at the Kosovo Assembly on Saturday, July 6th. He stated that the confirmation of the threat’s origin in Serbia once again demonstrates Serbia’s active hybrid warfare against Kosovo.

“I congratulate the state institutions for their quick and professional response. The confirmation that this threat originated in Serbia proves once again Serbia’s active hybrid warfare against our country,” Kurti wrote.

Threat Linked to Serbian Number and War Criminal Mladić

Acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, also reacted, stating that the phone number used to make the threat belongs to a Serbian citizen named Lazar Živković. According to Sveçla, this number is linked to several profiles featuring the photograph of war criminal Ratko Mladić.

“Relevant security institutions treated this hybrid attack on Kosovo’s institutions with high priority, and it has been confirmed to originate from Serbia. The phone number from which the threat was made is registered in Serbia and belongs to the MTS telephone company. The user of the number was or is Serbian citizen Lazar Živković. In some profiles linked to this number, the photograph of war criminal Ratko Mladić was found,” Sveçla posted on Facebook.
