North Macedonia’s borders are effectively closed to incoming vehicles today following a technical problem that hit the electronic system of the North Macedonian Police. This issue is impacting border operations across the entire country.

The National Center for Border Management announced the news, confirming that the system is down at all border crossing points. As a result, North Macedonian authorities have been forced to temporarily suspend the entry of vehicles into the state.

“From the moment the system went down, control is being carried out manually, and double-checking has also been reinstated,” the announcement stated.

Reports indicate long queues of vehicles at several of North Macedonia’s border crossings, while authorities are actively working to restore the system’s functionality. The Center has pledged to provide real-time updates on any changes to the situation.
