The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, has strongly criticized the Constitutional Court’s recent temporary measure, calling the delay in issuing it unjustifiable and a factor that has intensified the constitutional crisis in the country.
According to Haradinaj, the current situation poses a serious threat to the constitutional and institutional functioning of the Republic of Kosovo.
“The Constitutional Court’s latest decision confirms that the current state of affairs in the country constitutes a serious risk to the constitutional and institutional order. This is exactly what AAK had emphasized in its initial request to the Court,” he stated.
Haradinaj linked the Court’s measure to AAK’s earlier submission, stressing that the conditions now acknowledged by the Court were essentially the same as those previously outlined by AAK, but had initially been ignored.
“Unfortunately, the Court did not impose a temporary measure back then, even though the conditions were nearly identical to those it has now accepted. In its latest ruling, the Court finds that the situation presents a real threat to the constitutional order,” Haradinaj added.
He concluded by calling for greater institutional responsibility and faster action in such cases, warning that institutional delays can erode public trust and destabilize governance.
