AAK Deputy Daut Haradinaj, speaking in the Kosovo Assembly after the session was interrupted, called on the leaders of PDK and LDK to unite and form a majority “in the near future” for both the Assembly and the Government.
He stated that the invitation from the session chair, Avni Dehari, to meet again at 22:00 would not provide a solution, and thus he presented a coalition including these parties as the way forward.
“It is clear there is no will to find a solution. Every deputy here with even minimal experience has had the willingness to find a solution and join forces to elect the Speaker of the Assembly. It is obvious that Kurti is exploiting even the name of Albulena Haxhiu, not necessarily because he insists she is the solution, but I think his intention is to prolong this situation indefinitely.”
“This session at 22:00 will not bring any new solution either; it is clear that Kurti does not have the numbers. This is a public call to the leaders of PDK, LDK, AAK, and everyone willing to offer a majority soon to the Assembly and executive of Kosovo.”
