The Emergency Management Agency (AME) has announced that high temperatures and strong winds have worsened the fire situation across the country.

Spate of Fires Reported, Citizens Urged to Be Careful

According to AME, 29 fires were registered across Kosovo in the last eight hours alone. So far, 17 of them have been localized, but 12 fires remain active.

“We appeal to citizens to exercise increased caution, not to light fires outdoors, and to immediately report any fires to the emergency numbers 112, 193, and 192,” the announcement stated.

The agency has confirmed it is on full 24/7 alert, working alongside Fire and Rescue Units and the Kosovo Police to manage the situation.
