The Kosovo Police have confirmed the passing of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) commander Selman Kajtazi, as initially reported by Gazeta Sinjali. Kajtazi, aged around 58, died a few days after suffering severe injuries from a fall while working on the roof of a family home.
According to official police statements, the incident occurred on July 19, 2025, in the village of Karacë, Vushtrri, where Kajtazi was reportedly assisting relatives with construction work when he fell from the rooftop.
Authorities have classified the case as a “suspicious death”, and investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
