Kurti at “Rugova 2025”: Tradition Connecting Generations and New Investments for Better Mountain Access

Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, attended the “Rugova 2025” traditional games yesterday, held in the village of Bogë, Rugova. The event featured competitions in heritage disciplines such as arm wrestling, spear throwing, stone throwing, tug of war, and tree climbing, showcasing cultural customs passed down through generations.

During his remarks, Kurti underlined the importance of preserving Rugova’s traditions and spirit, while also announcing the launch of a feasibility study for the reconstruction of the Pejë–Kuqishtë road, with a projected investment of €15 million.

The first phase of the road’s rehabilitation has already begun and will cost around €1.7 million.
