Serbia continues its wave of arrests targeting Kosovar citizens at border crossings, citing alleged involvement with the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA/UÇK) as justification.

According to RKS News, another Kosovar has been detained while passing through the Bajakovo border crossing between Croatia and Serbia.

The individual, Behar Preniqi, was reportedly traveling from Germany to Kosovo when he was stopped by Serbian authorities.

Sources indicate that Preniqi’s arrest is allegedly based on suspicions of “war crimes,” with claims that he was part of the KLA—despite the fact that he was only 16 years old at the time of the war.

This arrest adds to growing concerns over Serbia’s continued detentions of ethnic Albanians, particularly those traveling through regional borders, often under controversial or politically motivated charges.
