A Serbian police officer was arrested at the Kosovo-Serbia border crossing point in Bërnjak.
According to sources within the police, obtained by Klankosova.tv, the arrest took place in the afternoon hours.
The arrest was confirmed by Veton Elshani, Deputy Police Director for the northern region, although he could not confirm whether the detainee is a police officer.
“The border police in Bërnjak stopped a person who had 20 bullets of 9mm caliber in the vehicle,” Elshani told Klankosova.tv.
Elshani further stated that following the arrest, the suspect, a Serbian citizen, was placed in custody for 48 hours by order of the prosecutor.
