Firearms at Celebrations: Kosovo Police Arrest 34 and Confiscate 30 Weapons in Two Months

During June and July 2025, the Kosovo Police reported 30 incidents of gunfire at celebrations, resulting in the arrest of 34 individuals and the confiscation of 30 firearms along with 232 rounds of ammunition.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MPB) emphasized the importance of close cooperation with citizens to prevent potential tragedies.

“During June-July 2025, in relation to incidents involving gunfire at celebrations, the Kosovo Police received 30 citizen reports, opened 27 cases, confiscated 30 firearms and 232 rounds of ammunition, and arrested 34 persons,” the Ministry stated.
