The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, has reacted following the decision of the Constitutional Court, which declared all sessions of the Assembly of Kosovo held from June 27 to July 26, 2025, invalid.
According to the ruling, the sessions were considered unlawful due to unconstitutional actions by the Chair of the Constituent Session.
In a Facebook post, Krasniqi stated that the Chair is now obliged to continue the procedures for electing the Speaker of the Assembly through an open vote, as stipulated by the Constitutional Court’s ruling.
“This is a final and binding decision, and there is no more room for delays or interpretations,” he wrote.
Krasniqi called on the Chair to convene the next session as soon as possible, stressing that Kosovo needs functional institutions, not procrastination.
“Every day of delay is a loss for the citizens and for the state,” he concluded.
