Supporters of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) are set to hold rallies tonight in nearly 50 locations across the country, sparking fears of another tense evening.

According to Jutarnji list, gatherings are planned in 44 municipalities in Vojvodina and six cities in central Serbia. Confirmed locations include Pančevo, Subotica, Stara Pazova, Leskovac, Požarevac, Vranje, Bor, and Loznica.

SNS Calls for Action Against “Blockades”

The rallies follow a video circulating on social media calling for a “fight against blockades,” which was shared by SNS leader and presidential advisor Miloš Vučević.

People have had enough of blockades. They want their Serbia back. Blockades only offer politics without policy, faceless individuals. Citizens want to know who leads the country and they want peace. I call for a peaceful and democratic gathering,” Vučević stated.

Serbia Braces for a Turbulent Night

Organizers say the demonstrations are aimed at ending political obstruction and restoring “normal life.” However, it remains uncertain whether students and opposition supporters will also take to the streets, raising the possibility of clashes.

Sociopolitical observers warn that Serbia may be facing another turbulent night marked by confrontation between government loyalists and critics of Vučić’s regime.
