KFOR has commented on the farewell meeting between its commander, Enrico Barduani, and President Vjosa Osmani.
According to a KFOR statement, Barduani and Osmani discussed improvements achieved in Kosovo’s security and acknowledged the high level of institutional cooperation attained throughout the NATO mission’s mandate.
During the meeting, Barduani was awarded the Presidential Military Medal, which he stated he deserved to share with his team and fellow KFOR soldiers.
“President Osmani expressed her sincere gratitude to General Barduani for his dedication to Kosovo’s stability and awarded him the Presidential Military Medal, as a tangible recognition of his distinguished leadership and invaluable service,” the KFOR statement read.
