A fragment of the rear section (tail) of a Russian Gerbera drone was discovered near the beach in the village of Varve, in the western Ventspils region of Latvia.

Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds confirmed that the fragment contained no explosives.

Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina stated that she has instructed the Ministries of Defense and Internal Affairs to coordinate with their Polish counterparts to determine whether the drone is one of those observed over Poland last week.

In Poland, authorities reported finding fragments of a missile in the village of Choiny, approximately 70 km from the Ukrainian border, which is suspected to have been used to shoot down one of the Russian drones.

No injuries or significant property damage were reported, and forensic investigations are ongoing.
