Serbian politician Dragan Šormaz posted on X that the true measure of a country’s strength and that of its army is reflected in the power of its allies, rather than in the amount of military equipment it possesses.
“The strength of a state and its army is seen in the strength of its allies. A pile of iron is worthless if the state’s foreign policy is wrong,” Šormaz wrote on X.
He pointed to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko as an example, describing him as “the only one of his kind in Europe, bordering the ‘Empire of Evil.’”
According to Šormaz, Serbia’s future lies in integration with the West:
“Serbia can be united, cohesive, and prosperous only as a member of the EU and NATO.”
