U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated in his address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday that during his second term he ended seven international conflicts.
He added that many had told him these conflicts were considered “endless.”
Trump mentioned the conflicts between Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, Pakistan and India, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the “vicious and violent war” between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.
“No other president has ever done anything like this,” Trump declared.
He also criticized the UN, stressing that the organization “did not even try to help” in any of these conflicts.
Trump went on to say that he was extremely busy during his mandate working to save millions of lives. He even mentioned that people tell him he deserves the Nobel Prize.
“Everyone says I should receive the Nobel Peace Prize for each of these achievements. But for me, the true prize will be the sons and daughters growing up with their mothers and fathers, because millions of people are no longer being killed in endless, senseless wars. What matters to me is not winning prizes, but saving lives,” Trump stated.
He also spoke about the state of the U.S. economy during his second term, describing it as the best it had ever been, and labeled his administration’s period as “America’s Golden Age.”
