LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku commemorated the sacrifice of police officer Afrim Bunjaku on the second anniversary of his killing in Banjskë, reports Gazeta Sinjali.
In his post, Abdixhiku wrote that Bunjaku was killed by members of a terrorist group sponsored and commanded by Serbia while performing his duties, demonstrating that service to the homeland comes above all personal interests.
“But Afrim Bunjaku was not just a police officer on duty. He was a man of great values, who chose to stand to the end for the principles of freedom, justice, and democratic order,” Abdixhiku emphasized.

“Afrim Bunjaku was killed by members of a terrorist group sponsored and commanded by Serbia while performing his duties, showing that service to the homeland is above all personal matters.
But Afrim Bunjaku was not just a police officer on duty. He was a man of great values who chose to stand to the end for the principles of freedom, justice, and democratic order.
His sacrifice remains a living reminder of the challenges Kosovo faces, as well as of our determination not to give in to violence or attempts at destabilization. Responsibility for this criminal act lies not only with the direct perpetrators but also with those who planned and incited it, all of whom must be held accountable by justice.
Afrim Bunjaku embodies what it means to serve the state with honor. He lives in our collective memory as one of the most devoted heroes of this country.
Eternal respect for his life and deeds!”
