Kosovo Parliament Speaker Dimal Basha has announced that his request to remove his name from a publication containing serious accusations against the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) has been approved.
Basha stated that Chapter 3, which he authored, has now been withdrawn by the publishing journal. He emphasized that he has no authorship in any other part of the publication.
“I want to inform you that a paper of mine from 13 years ago was included as a separate chapter in a larger publication, in which I was mistakenly listed as a co-author. I requested that Chapter 3, the part I contributed, be fully removed. The Publications Committee has approved my request and also removed my name from the authorship,” Basha wrote.
The decision came after widespread public reactions in Kosovo, where his name had been associated with severe allegations against the UÇK.
Basha thanked the public for their understanding and clarified that his involvement was limited solely to Chapter 3, addressing any misconceptions about his role in the previously published accusations.
