Kosovo Customs announced that it has uncovered 15 cases of smuggling at Prishtina International Airport, with the total value of seized goods exceeding €60,000.
According to the official statement, the confiscated goods included mainly high-tech devices, perfumes, car parts, and large sums of undeclared cash.
“In total, more than 15 cases were identified where passengers attempted to bring various goods into the Republic of Kosovo without fulfilling their legal declaration obligations,” the statement read.
Among the most common items seized were:
- 33 iPhone 17 Pro Max devices smuggled without declaration
- Original perfumes imported without proper documentation
- Various undeclared car parts
- Undeclared cash exceeding €10,000, where 25% of the sum was confiscated in line with legal provisions
The overall value of the seized goods surpassed €60,000, authorities confirmed.
Kosovo Customs emphasized that it will continue strict controls at all border points to combat smuggling and prevent tax evasion.
