The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK) announced on Saturday that the drinking water supplied from Badoc Lake is safe for consumption.
According to the NIPHK statement, the latest monitoring has shown a significant decrease in manganese levels.
“Laboratory analyses conducted over the last three days in the Basic Parameters Laboratory and the Analytical Laboratory – ICPMS indicate that manganese concentration ranged from 0.012 mg/l to 0.037 mg/l, values that are within the criteria set by Administrative Instruction no. 10/2021 on the quality of water intended for human consumption,” the announcement states.
NIPHK emphasized that, based on these results, the water in the Badoc area is drinkable and harmless to health.
