Following the seizure, Acting Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla stated that there is no longer a safe haven for criminals or elements threatening public security. He emphasized the government’s commitment to law, order, and public safety.

“No part of our territory is a shelter for criminals, weapons, or any elements that threaten the security of our country. Today, in the basement of a collective building in northern Mitrovica, two weapons, various ammunition, magazines, a gas mask, and handcuffs were found. We remain committed to law and order, security, and stability for our citizens and for the Republic,” Minister Sveçla wrote.
