The 25th edition of the Prishtina Marathon has officially started.
According to the Olympic Committee of Kosovo, approximately 1,200 runners are participating.
The main race covers the full marathon distance of 42 kilometers and 195 meters, while shorter distance races are also being held.
The Athletics Federation of Kosovo expressed surprise at the large number of participants this year.
Athletes from Africa are regular winners of the Prishtina Marathon.
