The United Nations (UN) has strongly refuted the false claims made by Serbia’s Foreign Minister, Marko Đurić, and pro-government Serbian media, which orchestrated an entire disinformation campaign last week against Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, regarding her participation in the UN General Assembly in New York.

Đurić had made baseless accusations, alleging that President Osmani had “secretly entered” the UN building using an entry permit supposedly issued by another state.

This false narrative was aggressively circulated by media outlets such as Tanjug, RTS, Politika, Blic, Informer, and Alo, which amplified the lie with sensationalist headlines, attempting to portray it as an established fact.

However, the truth quickly emerged — the United Nations itself publicly dismissed this fabrication, completely debunking Serbia’s disinformation campaign.

The UN clarified that President Osmani’s participation in the General Assembly was fully legitimate and in accordance with UN protocol, exposing Belgrade’s attempt to manipulate public opinion through false narratives and propaganda tactics.

This episode has once again highlighted Serbia’s diplomatic dishonesty and its ongoing efforts to undermine Kosovo’s international representation, a strategy increasingly seen as counterproductive and damaging to its own credibility on the global stage.
