The First Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo for European Integration, Development, and Dialogue, Besnik Bislimi, held a working meeting with the EU Special Representative for the Kosovo–Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sørensen.

According to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister, discussions focused on the next steps toward the full implementation of the Basic Agreement and the Ohrid Implementation Annex.

Bislimi emphasized the urgent need to address the issue of forcibly disappeared persons and to initiate the work of the Joint Commission, a mechanism agreed upon since December of last year.

He also raised concerns about the blocking of funds for farmers in the Presheva Valley by Serbian authorities, as well as the damage caused by Serbia’s obstruction of energy interconnection lines, which affects Kosovo and the wider region.

At the end of the meeting, Bislimi stressed the importance of immediately lifting the European Union’s measures against Kosovo, describing it as a crucial step for advancing the dialogue process and ensuring regional stability.
