As part of the 25th anniversary of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda, President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received in Prishtina a delegation from the UK Government’s Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative (PSVI) Advisory Board.

According to a statement posted by the Presidency on Facebook, the delegation included survivors from various parts of the world, who shared their personal experiences and stories of courage.

“The stories of pain, resilience, and success shared by the survivors were both inspiring and thought-provoking,” the Presidency said. “They sparked discussions and the exchange of new ideas for cooperation.”

President Osmani highlighted the importance of amplifying survivors’ voices in shaping sustainable and effective policies.

“The voices of survivors of sexual violence are vital in designing sustainable and effective policies to ensure full well-being for all and to take concrete steps toward achieving justice,” the statement added.

The meeting reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to international cooperation on issues of justice, gender equality, and human rights, particularly in the context of post-conflict recovery.
