Powerful Earthquake in Turkey: Kosovo Embassy Issues Advisory for Citizens in Affected Areas

Following the 6.1-magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey on Monday night, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Ankara has issued a public notice advising Kosovar citizens in the affected regions to exercise caution.

In an official statement, the Embassy urged citizens to stay away from unsafe buildings and to follow the instructions of local authorities closely.

The epicenter of the quake was located in Balıkesir, but the tremors were felt strongly in Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, Manisa, Kocaeli, Tekirdağ, Sakarya, and nearby regions. So far, no casualties have been reported.
