Europe is facing its “most difficult and dangerous situation” since the end of World War II, said Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on Tuesday.
Calling for unity, Frederiksen warned that all European countries are being targeted by Russia’s “hybrid warfare”, through drone incursions, sabotage, and disinformation campaigns.
“Denmark is facing its greatest threat since World War II, as Russia seeks to weaken our societies and divide us,” she stated.
“I hope everyone now understands that there is a hybrid war underway — one day it’s Poland, the next day it’s Denmark, and the following week it could be someone else, where we see sabotage or drones flying overhead. I truly believe we are in the most difficult and dangerous situation since World War II,” Frederiksen told reporters.
