Former President of Republika Srpska (RS) and leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), Milorad Dodik, claimed today in Banja Luka that the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)—which upheld the verdict against him—has destroyed the constitutional order in the country.

“With its decision, the Constitutional Court overturned the constitution of BiH and of the RS. It also nullified the Dayton Agreement, and the RS is no longer responsible for its further actions,” Dodik said at a press conference held at the SNSD headquarters.

The Constitutional Court rejected Dodik’s appeal and confirmed the final judgment of the Court of BiH, which convicted him of disobeying the decisions of the High Representative and the Central Election Commission (CEC), including the removal of Dodik from the RS presidential mandate.

Dodik claimed that only the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH can pass laws at the state level and argued that, according to the Constitutional Court, there are now two competing legislative authorities, one of which is the High Representative.

He further questioned the European Court of Human Rights’ authority, claiming that the High Representative is part of the UN system and implying that international institutions are infringing on the sovereignty of RS.

Dodik characterized the Constitutional Court as “inquisitorial” and part of a plan to dismantle the Dayton Agreement and subjugate the RS until it disappears. He also accused the president of the Constitutional Court, Mirsad Ćeman, of having been aligned with the wartime Party of Democratic Action (SDA), which, in Dodik’s words, was responsible for killing Serbs.

He declared BiH a “country in free fall,” claiming the Serbs should leave immediately because “globalists want to settle migrants from European countries in BiH.” Dodik also accused Bosniak politicians of having sought war last year, which he claimed the RS prevented.

Regarding the RS’s future, Dodik stated that it will focus on economic progress, development, and increasing salaries and pensions, asserting that the European path for Bosnia and Herzegovina “is the end of the story” for the RS.

He concluded by emphasizing that the RS remains stable and secure, dismissing Bosnia’s institutions as ineffective, and blaming “Muslim and globalist influences” for attempts to impose a civil, one-person-one-vote system that, according to him, threatens the Dayton Agreement.
