Convicted murderers, thugs, drug traffickers, and individuals deeply tied to the underworld have been openly supporting the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) at its rallies over the past year, KRIK reported today, announcing the launch of an online database documenting their presence.
Journalists from the investigative portal, which focuses on crime and corruption, revealed that these individuals have been appearing at the infamous tent city in front of the National Assembly as well as in Pioneer Park—hotspots for regime loyalists.
According to KRIK, people with criminal records were not just passive attendees—they actively attacked students and citizens during protests, kicking them, hurling insults, and even throwing chairs, all in the aftermath of the catastrophic canopy collapse at Novi Sad Railway Station on November 1, 2024, which claimed 16 lives.
The database, titled “Ćaci(ji): Guards of the Party,” will be updated whenever new individuals from the criminal underworld are spotted at rallies. Readers are invited to submit tips via email at [email protected].
Notable figures in the database include Petar Panić, aka Pana, and Đorđe Prelić, aka Prela, who admitted to KRIK that they were present in “Ćaciland,” claiming, somewhat implausibly, that the SNS did not pay them to attend.
This exposé paints a stark picture of a political party openly entangled with Serbia’s criminal networks—a chilling reminder of the lengths to which power will go to maintain control.
