KFOR has announced that Turkish soldiers have been conducting regular patrols across Kosovo. According to the statement, these patrols are carried out with the aim of ensuring a visible and reassuring presence on the ground while simultaneously improving situational awareness and observation.
KFOR emphasized that, through their professionalism and dedication, Turkish soldiers make a significant contribution to regional stability and play a key role in KFOR’s ongoing mission to maintain a safe and secure environment for all residents of Kosovo.
Statement:
Turkish soldiers from the Operational Reserve Force (ORF) Battalion, part of the NATO-led KFOR mission, continue to carry out their daily activities throughout Kosovo.
They conduct patrols to ensure a visible and calming presence in the field, while also improving monitoring and understanding of the local situation.
Through their professionalism and commitment, they contribute meaningfully to regional stability and play a crucial role in KFOR’s ongoing mission to safeguard a peaceful and secure environment for everyone in Kosovo.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999) to help maintain a safe and stable environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo, and to guarantee freedom of movement at all times and in an impartial manner.
KFOR also works closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in fulfilling their respective roles in the field of security.
