Elezi: 1,690 New Young Voters Added to the Voter List

The spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (CEC), Valmir Elezi, announced that the voting process for the second round of local elections has begun on time in 18 municipalities across Kosovo.

According to Elezi, voting is taking place in 507 polling centers with a total of 1,628 polling stations, and all electoral materials were distributed to locations on schedule, reports IndeksOnline.

“According to the voter list, the total number of eligible voters today is 1,316,672 citizens, spread across 18 municipalities. This list also includes 1,690 new voters who were not eligible to vote in the first round but have since turned 18 between October 13 and November 9,” Elezi stated.

He added that 61 mobile teams are available to assist 2,541 persons with special needs who registered in advance to vote from home.

Elezi urged all citizens with the right to vote to participate in the election process and exercise their democratic right.

The municipalities heading to the runoff include: Gjakova, Gjilan, Dragash, Kaçanik, Klinë, Fushë Kosovë, South Mitrovica, Obiliq, Rahovec, Peja, Prishtina, Prizren, Suharekë, Viti, Vushtrri, Junik, Mamusha, and Kllokot.
