Alban Hyseni, the current mayor of Gjilan, has further solidified his electoral win with strong support from Kosovo’s diaspora.
According to the latest figures released by the Central Election Commission (CEC), 535 diaspora voters cast their ballots for Hyseni, while his opponent, Arbër Ismajli of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), received 208 votes from abroad.
Based on the compiled election results, Alban Hyseni won a total of 22,921 votes in Gjilan, securing a decisive victory. Ismajli, in contrast, collected 14,502 votes, confirming Hyseni’s substantial lead in the municipality.
This outcome highlights a significant level of trust from the diaspora in Hyseni’s leadership, reinforcing his second term as mayor of Gjilan.
