Hekuran Murati, acting Minister of Finance, announced that this week the government has started subsidizing electricity bills for October, targeting vulnerable families with low incomes.

Beneficiary households can now view the subsidy amounts both through the official electronic application and on the physical bills, which will be distributed in the coming days.

Murati confirmed that this financial support will continue for six months, covering the entire winter season, following the same practice as last year.

“Our goal remains the same: to help families manage energy expenses during the cold months and ensure that no household in need is left without support,” Murati stated.

This initiative forms part of the government’s ongoing efforts to alleviate energy costs for the most vulnerable segments of the population.
