Tirana Police have concluded the anti-narcotics operation codenamed “Transporter”, carried out by the Kruja Police Station in cooperation with the Narcotics Investigation Section of the Tirana Police Directorate. The operation followed intelligence gathered through operative channels and targeted criminal activity related to drug trafficking.

As a result, a 43-year-old Kosovo citizen, identified as L. Ç., was arrested after being caught transporting 23.65 kilograms of suspected Cannabis Sativa, allegedly intended for trafficking into Kosovo.

Police intervened in the area known as “Ura e Stafukës” in the village of Larushk, where they stopped a Skoda vehicle driven by the suspect. During the search, officers found multiple packages of the narcotic substance, which were seized along with the vehicle as material evidence.

Police said investigations are ongoing to fully document the criminal activity and to identify additional individuals potentially connected to this trafficking network.

Procedural materials have been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
