At the “Adem Jashari” barracks, the doors were opened today for all citizens who wanted to see the Kosovo Army up close.

On the “Day of the Force,” the country’s President, Vjosa Osmani, emphasized that this is a day of pride for all Albanians and that the Kosovo Army is a proud and worthy successor of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).

She highlighted that together, efforts will continue to make the army even stronger.

“Happy ‘Day of the Force,’ the day of our army. Today is a day of pride for all the people of Kosovo. It is a day of pride because our current army is a proud and worthy successor of the Kosovo Liberation Army, of the men and women who laid the foundations of our army, and the men and women you see today make us proud not only within our country but everywhere they serve — in academies, in various allied countries, and also in peace and stability operations around the world, where they serve side by side with our allies,” Osmani said.

She further stressed that the Kosovo Army is strengthening every day and operates alongside its allied states worldwide.

“Our army grows stronger every day, becoming more operational, interoperable, and professional. Naturally, new men and women who want to serve the homeland are joining its ranks. We are extremely proud of their work; they, together with the Kosovo Police and other security institutions, are the strongest guarantee for our sovereignty, territorial integrity, defense of statehood, and protection of every citizen of the Republic of Kosovo,” Osmani declared.

In conclusion, she emphasized that efforts will continue to make the army even stronger, to protect the state built with great sacrifice.

“Together we will move forward to make our army even stronger every day in defense of our state, built with great sacrifice,” President Osmani concluded.
