Police in Leposaviq have arrested five individuals in the village of Berberisht for possession of unlicensed hunting firearms.
During the inspection, officers found six weapons — including five hunting rifles and one carbine rifle — along with 86 rounds of ammunition, four magazines, and several firearm-related documents, according to Klankosova.tv.
Police confirmed that the individuals were taken to the Leposaviq Police Station, where they were interviewed in the presence of their legal representatives. They were later released in accordance with legal procedures.
All weapons were confiscated, and the case has been forwarded to the State Prosecutor on suspicion of “Unauthorized Ownership, Control, or Possession of a Weapon.”
Authorities have urged citizens not to engage in hunting without valid permits and to strictly adhere to legal requirements.
