Serbia’s Ministry of Interior has announced that an Albanian citizen was arrested this evening at the Merdare border crossing.
According to the outlet Kossev, a flag with the inscription of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA/UÇK) was found in his possession.
The arrested individual is L.D., born in 1992.
From the reporting, it appears that the sole reason for the arrest was the red flag bearing the name of the KLA.
The arrest was carried out on allegations of so-called “Incitement of National, Racial and Religious Hatred and Intolerance.”
