Today (Sunday) at 14:00, the Central Election Commission (CEC) will hold the official ceremony where political parties will draw their numbers for the order in which they will appear on the ballot for the early parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 December 2025.
Originally, this CEC activity was planned for 8 December, but the commission announced a date change on Saturday.
CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi confirmed after the commission meeting that, according to the new decision, the ballot order draw—initially set for 8 December—will now take place one day earlier, on 7 December 2025.
“The CEC has decided to amend the timeline for activities related to organizing the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo. According to the new decision, the draw for determining the order of political subjects on the ballot—previously planned for 8 December—will be held one day earlier, on 7 December 2025,” Elezi stated in a written response for RTKLive.
He emphasized that this change aims to facilitate earlier approval of the ballot design and content, as well as to ensure the timely start of the printing process. Additionally, the decision provides extra time for preparing the postal voting process for citizens outside Kosovo who have chosen this method.
According to the CEC, the ceremony will take place today at 14:00, with all political party representatives invited to attend.
