The leader of NISMA, Fatmir Limaj, has commented on today’s protest in Skopje, saying he stood alongside brothers and sisters in support of the KLA, freedom, and the state of Kosovo, which he described as core elements of Albanian identity.
Limaj emphasized that the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) was and remains a liberation movement, and that no one has the right to rewrite history or tarnish the struggle for freedom.
In a public statement, Limaj wrote:
“Today in Skopje, among brothers and sisters, for the KLA, for our freedom and our state—these are our identity.
The KLA was and remains a liberation struggle, built on sacrifice, dignity, and justice.
No one has the right to rewrite our history or to stain the struggle for freedom.
We demand genuine justice, not selective and politically motivated trials.
Today, from Skopje, the voice of Albanian unity was heard—a voice that threatens no one, but does not accept injustice.
We will stand together, with dignity, calmness, and faith that the truth always prevails.
Glory to the KLA.
Justice for the liberators.”
