NATO-led KFOR troops, the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), and the Kosovo Police have conducted a joint security exercise, demonstrating continued coordination and preparedness to maintain peace and stability across Kosovo.

The exercise was confirmed by the United States European Command (EUCOM), which emphasized that such joint trainings are essential for enhancing inter-institutional cooperation and operational readiness among international and local security actors.

Strengthening Cooperation Through Joint Training

According to EUCOM, the exercise aimed to improve coordination, communication, and rapid-response capabilities in potential security scenarios. The training involved multinational KFOR soldiers, EULEX personnel, and members of the Kosovo Police, highlighting a unified approach to safeguarding public order.

Security through cooperation,” EUCOM stated in its announcement, underlining the importance of collective preparedness.

The joint activity was conducted as part of Exercise Golden Sabre 2025, a multinational drill designed to strengthen crisis response, operational effectiveness, and mutual trust among participating forces.

Commitment to Kosovo’s Stability

EUCOM stressed that exercises such as Golden Sabre reinforce the shared commitment of NATO, the European Union, and Kosovo institutions to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo.

KFOR continues to operate under its UN mandate, while EULEX supports Kosovo authorities in the areas of rule of law and security, working closely with the Kosovo Police to respond to evolving challenges.

The exercise sends a clear message of readiness, unity, and long-term engagement in maintaining stability in Kosovo.
