Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti held his first official meeting on Tuesday with Estonia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Kosovo, Karin Anna Maandi, discussing bilateral relations, security cooperation, and Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration.

According to an official statement, the meeting emphasized the strengthening of cooperation between Kosovo and Estonia, particularly in areas critical to Kosovo’s democratic and institutional development.

Prime Minister Kurti praised Estonia’s continued support for Kosovo as a member of both the European Union and NATO, highlighting assistance in the rule of law and digital governance, sectors in which Estonia is widely regarded as a European leader.

“The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Estonia’s support, particularly in strengthening the rule of law and advancing digital governance reforms,” the statement said.

Kurti also thanked Ambassador Maandi for Estonia’s consistent backing of Kosovo in its efforts to join international organizations, reaffirming Kosovo’s commitment to closer alignment with Euro-Atlantic structures.

During the meeting, the acting prime minister welcomed the ambassador to Kosovo and pledged full institutional cooperation, underlining the government’s readiness to further deepen diplomatic and strategic ties between the two countries.

Estonia has been a strong supporter of Kosovo’s independence and international integration, particularly advocating for Kosovo’s European perspective and NATO aspirations.
