On Friday, the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, concluded. Kosovo was also part of the forum. The space where the state organized its activities cost the budget 300,000 euros, excluding support from sponsors.

The financing of the space, known as “Kosovo House,” cost the state budget 300,000 euros during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

These funds were allocated by the government cabinet in November of last year. Government officials noted that the event also required additional support.

“The Government of the Republic of Kosovo allocated 300,000 euros for the financing of this event through decisions approved in the 277th government meeting. The remainder of the expenses is covered by sponsors. This year as well, numerous activities were held, especially discussion panels with internationally recognized experts and researchers in fields such as economics and technology, while Kosovo House serves as a space for discussions with investors and entrepreneurs, as well as bilateral meetings with state leaders from friendly and partner countries,” said Përparim Kryeziu, government spokesperson.

This is the second year for this event, and the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, said it would become a tradition at the forum.

“Here, on one hand, we present our culture, identity, and who we are, while on the other, we present the opportunities for economic investments, trade exchanges, and all kinds of cooperation. So, we also show what we can achieve together beyond who we are,” Kurti stated.

The acting Prime Minister emphasized that with its Kosovo House in Davos, Kosovo is among the 25 countries worldwide that have such spaces.

Friday marked the final day of the World Economic Forum.

The Prime Minister’s Office also announced that Kurti met with Jonathan Powrell, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.

The meeting covered topics including the parliamentary elections of last December, plans and projects for the next government mandate, democratic progress in Kosovo, economic growth, and regional security issues.

The Davos Forum opened on Monday, and during the forum, the Peace Board, a mechanism established by U.S. President Donald Trump, was formalized, with Kosovo as a founding member.
