Donald Trump has nominated Kevin Warsh as Chair of the Board of the Federal Reserve.
In a post on X, Trump stated that Kevin Warsh is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School, and that he has conducted extensive research in the fields of economics and finance.
Trump recalled that Warsh authored an independent report on the Bank of England, in which he proposed reforms to the design of monetary policy in the United Kingdom. The British Parliament later adopted his recommendations. He also noted that, at just 35 years of age, Warsh became the youngest governor in the history of the Federal Reserve.
In his post, the U.S. President emphasized that he has known Kevin Warsh for many years and expressed confidence that he will go down in history as one of the greatest Chairs of the Federal Reserve, describing him as someone “tailor-made” for the position.
