The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, has spoken about the current political situation and the process of constituting the Assembly, stating that the Vetëvendosje Movement (VV) must make a compromise regarding the position of Assembly Speaker – but that the LDK is not willing to make such a compromise with them.
“To elect the Speaker of the Assembly, compromise is needed – a majority must be formed. Because this is what the citizens of Kosovo have decided,” Abdixhiku said.
When asked whether the LDK would accept any kind of agreement with Vetëvendosje on this matter, he was unequivocal in his response:
“Under no circumstances (will we compromise with VV). Never (will we enter negotiations with Vetëvendosje).”
