President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, spoke today with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani to strongly condemn the recent terrorist attack involving explosives on the Ibër-Lepenc canal. The attack, which targeted critical infrastructure, has been described as a direct threat to Kosovo’s national security.
According to a statement from the Albanian Presidency, Begaj expressed his full support for Kosovo’s efforts to address the situation and ensure a thorough investigation and accountability for this sabotage and terrorist act. “This explosion aims at destroying critical infrastructure and undermines Kosovo’s national security,” Begaj remarked during the phone call with Osmani.
The attack, which has been classified as a terrorist act by Kosovo authorities, has also been condemned by the United States and the European Union.
