The leader of the political party Serbian Democracy in Kosovo, Ivan Orlović, has published a series of complaints from Kosovo Serb citizens who claim they are facing detentions, questioning, and additional delays by Serbian police while crossing border points with Serbia.

Orlović stated that Kosovo Serbs are being placed “under the magnifying glass of the Serbian regime,” particularly those who have expressed support for opposition parties or criticized the authorities in Serbia through social media.

In his post, he shared messages from citizens alleging that they were detained for several hours at the administrative crossing in Jarinje Border Crossing and questioned by Serbian police officers.

One of the published messages claims that citizens are being stopped “so they do not vote for lists other than the Srpska Lista,” while another alleges that people supporting opposition groups or receiving assistance from other political parties “are being detained and held for hours.”

“Anyone who is not with Srpska Lista and anyone supporting another party, as well as anyone who has received any kind of help from another political party, is being stopped these days at Jarinje by the Serbian authorities,” one of the complaints shared by Orlović stated.

In another part of the published conversations, a citizen alleged that during questioning by Serbian police, officers asked about political figures among Kosovo Serbs.

“Are you with Milan Radoičić or with Nenad Rašić?” the officer allegedly asked during the control procedure.

Ivan Orlović said that in recent weeks he has received numerous complaints from Kosovo Serbs who claim they are being subjected to additional checks and harassment at border crossings because of their posts, comments, or activities on social media, including likes and support for opposition political options.

He emphasized that freedom of opinion and political affiliation should be guaranteed for every citizen without fear or political or institutional consequences.

At the end of his statement, Orlović urged opposition supporters to be cautious when crossing border points with Serbia, warning that elections are approaching and political tensions could intensify further.
