Besnik Bislimi, the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development, and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, met today with Marguerite Costa de Beauregard, the Deputy Director for the Balkans and Europe in the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, Bislimi called for the removal of punitive measures against Kosovo.

According to a government announcement, the discussion focused on strengthening relations between Kosovo and France, particularly in the fields of economy and infrastructure.

“The journey towards Kosovo’s European integration, which is our priority, was also addressed, as we await the submission of the Country Report today,” the announcement stated.

Additionally, Bislimi emphasized that the punitive measures against Kosovo remain unjust and should be lifted, especially following the High Representative of the EU’s Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, who recommended their removal in his report.
