The Montenegrin portal “CdM” says that they have unofficially learned that in the meeting of the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Millojko Spajic, with the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, it was discussed that Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe should take place “after the launch” of Association of Municipalities inhabited by Serbian majority.

Although it is not specified further what and when, the official German position expressed by Scholz is that for the German vote in favor of Kosovo’s membership, the Kosovar government must take “concrete steps towards the Association in relation to Kosovo’s application to the Council of Europe”.
