Ismail Dibrani, Director of the Kosovo Correctional Service, has met with representatives of the Council of Europe Office in Pristina, led by Head of Office Mary Ann Hennessey, to discuss continued cooperation and the further development of Kosovo’s correctional system.
According to Dibrani, the long-standing partnership has produced concrete results in strengthening professional capacities, supporting rehabilitation and reintegration, and advancing respect for human rights within the correctional system.
“This partnership over the years has delivered concrete results in strengthening professional capacities, rehabilitation and reintegration, as well as advancing respect for human rights,” Dibrani wrote.
He added that meetings of this kind are important for assessing the progress achieved so far and identifying the next steps toward reaching higher European standards.
The discussions focused on further strengthening cooperation between the Kosovo Correctional Service and the Council of Europe, with an emphasis on continued reforms and improving standards across the correctional system.
