The Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo has announced that President Vjosa Osmani has expressed full readiness to meet with political parties whenever they deem it necessary.

However, so far, none of the political parties have officially requested the President’s involvement in any specific process or initiative.

“President Osmani has offered parties the opportunity for meetings, expressing her full willingness to receive them for consultations whenever they consider it necessary. So far, none of the parties have requested her involvement,” said Bekim Kupina, advisor to President Osmani.

On Friday, the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly failed once again, making it the fourth consecutive time that the Assembly was unable to elect a Speaker.

Albulena Haxhiu, the candidate from the Vetëvendosje Movement for this position, failed to secure the required support from Members of Parliament, receiving only 57 votes out of the 61 needed. In this session, which had 118 MPs present, 47 voted against and 3 abstained.
